Parties
These Terms are between Wes Davis Films, LLC trading as ActorCamp (“we/us”) and the student/customer (“you”).
Where these terms apply
These Terms apply to class registrations and related services we provide in New Zealand (including through our website checkout).
1. Enrolment & eligibility
- Seats are limited and confirmed only after full payment is received.
- You must be 18+ (or have written consent from a parent/guardian and meet any class prerequisites).
2. Pricing, tax, and currency
- Prices are shown in NZD and are exclusive of GST (update this line depending on your GST status).
- Any surcharges or booking fees (if any) will be disclosed before checkout.
3. Payments
- We accept payment by card via Stripe/WooPayments at checkout.
- By paying, you authorise us and our payment provider to charge the amount shown, plus applicable taxes.
4. Cancellations, transfers & refunds
- Your cancellation/change of mind: No refunds for change of mind or non‑attendance. You may transfer your booking to another person or request a credit for a future class if you email us at least [X] days before your class start date, subject to availability.
- Our cancellation or reschedule: If we cancel a class, you may choose a full refund or credit. If we reschedule and you cannot attend the new date, you may request a refund or credit.
- Consumer rights: Your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 (CGA) and Fair Trading Act 1986 apply and are not excluded by these Terms. If our services aren’t provided with reasonable care and skill, arrive late without reasonable cause, or don’t match what we described, you may have remedies under NZ law.
5. Behaviour & safety
- You agree to follow class instructions, venue policies, and health & safety rules. We may remove anyone whose behaviour risks the safety, learning, or enjoyment of others (no refund where removal is due to your conduct).
6. Filming/photography
- By registering for this site, or taking a class with us, you give us your consent. We may film or photograph parts of the class. You grant us a non‑exclusive licence to use such content for ActorCamp’s marketing (website, social media, and showreels), or any other purposes we deem fit. If you prefer not to be filmed/photographed for these purposes, do not take the class.
7. IP & materials
- Class handouts and materials are for your personal use. Do not copy, share, or publish without permission. Our brand names, logos and content are protected.
8. Force majeure
- We aren’t liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control (including, but not limited to, severe weather, venue closure, illness, travel disruption). If affected, we may reschedule or credit/refund where appropriate.
9. Liability cap
- To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim arising out of these Terms or the services is limited to the amount you paid for the class giving rise to the claim. Nothing limits rights and remedies you may have under the CGA or excludes liability we cannot exclude at law.
10. Complaints & support
- Email support@actorcamp.co.nz with any issues. We aim to respond within 10 business days.
11. Governing law
- These Terms are governed by New Zealand and US law. NZ courts have non‑exclusive jurisdiction.
12. Changes to Terms
- We may update these Terms from time to time. The version posted at purchase applies to that purchase; any changes will apply to future purchases, after the changes, only.
